Gooseberry Pie III - Review by EricT
I made a pie with a lattice crust, which may be the difference. Instruction step 2, layering of the ingredients, did not work for me. My pie has an undissolved layer of sugar and flour on top of the gooseberries in the center, which is decidedly unappetizing. I'll go back to macerating until all ingredients are at least moistened.
A perfectly simple way to make a gooseberry pie. Just sugar, flour and butter - what more do you need?
